Gotham Steakhouse, Vancouver

Went there for my birthday with my boyfriend, he has been before and my first. It was the best filet I have ever had! Just wish it wasn't so crazy expensive, then I would go back more often. Don't think they need so many so expensive bottles of wine, could use a few more reasonably ones.

It a fabulous looking place and our service was great! However, the food was a disappointment as based on the price of the steak of $50, the expectation was that the meat would be cooked to one’s specification and each mouth full would to be worth every penny. at least that was what the waiter said! We all ordered a medium raw filet mignon the smaller cut of 10 or 12 oz, and were presented with a hunk of meat served on a very large white plate. My steak was lukewarm, dried out and quite salty. The waiter had commented that we would not need any sauces as the meat would be so tender, well we could have used something to swallow the meat down. Vegetables were ordered separately at about $7 a plate and were served separately. Overall the presentation of the steak and the vegetables was strange! We left hungry and since it was birthday celebration, we had food else where..

My experience as a single diner was so amazing that I have the burning desire to fly my mom over to Canada just to have dinner! They really knew how to take care of a lady. I am in the LA area of So. California with CUT just a short distance from me, though, because of my past experience at Gotham...it's HANDS DOWN to Gotham! Absolutely supurb!

My favorite restraunt ever!!! The ceaser salad is the best ceaser salad Ive ever had.... MMM YUMMY!!! AND THE STEAK, oh god, it is absolutely mouth watering! Every bite gets better and better!!! Such good service toooo!!

The steak is fabulous but was not cooked as I requested it. A asked for it rare but what I got was cold in the middle. We also had the spinach salad, which was entirely forgettable, and the oysters which I cannot comment on because I do not care for seafood that much. The atmosphere is very nice and the staff were adequate but unremarkable. Upon arrival I had to wait almost 20 minutes to place my first drink order. The dining room was fairly full at the time but I don't care - when you are paying what Gotham charges you don't make people wait. Overall, the entire experience was a bit disappointing. I doubt that I would ever go back there.

I've been to Gotham about 4 times now and every time I've been impressed by not only the quality of the steaks but the service as well. I've also been to Hy's steakhouse and while it is also good I think Gotham is better. I highly recommend Gotham to anyone who loves a good piece of steak. On a final note, while Gotham is a bit more pricey, I don't think it is that much more expensive than, say, the Keg. GO!!!

I have eaten at some of the best steak houses in Southern California and I can honestly say, I have not tasted a better steak in my life. Gotham is the place to be for a fine dining experience. I had the Ribeye and my wife had the New York. The menu is pretty much limited to steaks so if you are in the mood for seafood, you might go elsewhere, but for meat, this place can't be beat.

Just Nice All Round, Perfectly Cooked Steak! Wow! Excellent Service, Very personable! It was just an excellent 2 hours, of dining, we had it all and were in no rush but wow, what a nice spot! Thanks

I was very dissapointed with Gothams. My husband and I went for our anniversary and when you are paying close to $50.00 for a steak, you would expect it to be worth that amount. My steak was very dry and well done when I asked for medium. Also, you have to pay extra for side dishes, so if you want two sides you are looking at close to $15.00. Which I found ridiculous considering you are paying $50.00 for a piece of meat. We are big steak eaters so I would not reccomend this place. Keg is much better, and worth your money.

just that the service could have bee na little better and not enough for the price. The food was really good but not filling. the overall experience was really nice very. It really nice place to have dinner drinks and just have areally nice night out. we h ave our new years dinner at gothams, for the last 3 yrs. It nice place where u can get dressed up and just do the whole 9 yards.
