Stepho's Souvlaki Greek Taverna, Vancouver

We made a reservation for 7pm but we arrived at 7:30. The server told us that the table would be reserved for us for 2 hours and since we were late half an hour, we would still have to be finished by 9pm. We said okay. We found out that they were seating us at a table for 6 even though we had 8 people. A few minutes later, he dropped by to ask if we were ready to order, we said not yet. A few friends arrived later and were still looking at the menu when the server came and asked again. He said he wanted us to quickly order cuz we had to finish dinner by 9pm. When we were almost finished dinner, another server drop by to ask if he could take away some plates, we said we were still eating. Then a friend saw that the server was still standing nearby looking at us, as if they really wanted us to finish off quick so that they could seat other people. I've had much better service at another Greek restaurant in Burnaby, which offers the same great food, if not better, at pretty much the same prices, as well as much better service. Needless to say, I'm not crazy about their food and definitely not satisfied of their service.

I used to live near the restaurant and eat out lots. They are great!! I have moved out and miss the food there lots. I have been looking for the one which can beet Stepho's for 3 years but I have not found one yet, maybe I cannot....

We visisted Vancouver for our honeymoon, and eating at Stephos was one of our most memorable experience. Awesome hummus!

That we've been going. Simply put, there is no better value, food or servers.

The food and atmosphere go hand and hand. I recommend the mussels.

My wife and I heard from just about every local we met that if we were going to eat in Vancouver, we would be silly to NOT choose Stepho's....They were correct. We STUFFED 4 people including drinks for about $100 CANADIAN!!! The lamb shank could be eaten w/ a spoon.....
