Stepho's Souvlaki Greek Taverna, Vancouver

LOVE IT !!! We enjoy going to Stephos. Food always great. We try to go before the rush starts, at 430- 5pm. We have spent 2 hours in line up, BUT it is so worth it. Steam clams, are always great. Great food, and great prices!!!

Cant wait for the patio to open soon. When you go there ask if they have any mussels, they are delivered fresh daily. Delish. The service was great and the manager was very helpful

Have been going to Stephos for years when I visit Vancouver.Last time I was there (On Feb21,2007) it was without doubt one of the worst dining experiences I ever had.First we were left waiting at the front door for 20 minutes, then our server couldn't be bothered with us and when he finally came to serve us his nose was dripping into his mouth which he proceeded to lick with his tongue.It was disgusting. It was completely downhill from there, the calamari that my friend ordered was uneatable, and it was returned. Not once did anyone come over to see how we were doing or if we needed anything or if the food was any good, which it was not. I will never go back again.

amazing food. its the local's fav spot for greek food. leave lots of time to stand in line, somtimes the lineup is a block long outside the resteraunt, that alone should speak for itself! portions are enourmous, and the prices are extremely cheap. i highly recommend!

The food is excellent and the portions are awesome. I have stopped going to other restaurants where I like the food, but because Stepho's offers great portions, food and prices I no longer want to spend my money elsewhere as I feel as if I am getting ripped off. The staff are outstanding also! I just love this food, and in total I spend in travel time to get there and home about an hour and a half to two hours. It is worth it!

The chicken is outstanding. Didn't try the beef so can't comment on it. And quicker, more attentive service than most Vancouver restaurants. Can have lines out the door, but we went around 2:00 pm and had no wait.

I have been going to stephos for a long time and I really like the quality fo the food for the prices they offer. It actually is one of the best greek restaurants in that respect. The trick is timing when you go there since you cannot always expect to be seating in less than half an hour. However, I have found that the speed at which they seat people compared to the volume of people that visit the restaurant is excellent. In terms of service I have never had any problems with any staff when meals are prepared. Some of my friends are a bit picky and on the occasion some meals and appetizers have been brought together to speed up service. Personally I do no not mind but some people may like to relax and have a long full course meal. The main complaint I have though is the variability of how the food is cooked. Sometimes the rice is undercooked and sometimes the lamb is not moist enough. There is a very high degree of variability in my opinion, however for the prices it is still well worth it. Also of course the lineups are sometimes ridiculously long however in those cases we would just go to another place. The best nights are during the weekdays Monday to Thursday and sundays or any time at around 11pm if you want to get a late night snack :). Of course at around 11pm the food quality is also sometimes rushed and not as great. Takeout at stephos is great since you do not have to wait for the long lineups and you still get the same value in terms of food/quality.

This place was amazing. The price of the food was unbelievable, and the taste, delicious! The portions were so huge, I was glad we walked there, as we needed the exercise after! The service was prompt and courteous even though we there almost until closing. It was a wonderful experience, and I will be back there the next time I visit.

I was introduced to stepho's when visiting vancouver about 7 years ago. 1/2 my reason for regular vancouver visits is to hit up stepho's. When we are in town we eat there at least 1/2 the nights. Seriously, it is such a treat. MMMMMM...I have another visit coming up in a few months, can't wait!

This place is awesome!!! Food portions are massive but the the bill is tiny! I think almost all items on the menu are under $10. Half the time I can't even finish a full plate because they give you so much food! The only downside is the lineup to get seated. Lunch and dinner times are crazy but the more you wait the more hungry you get and the more food you eat!
