Stepho's Souvlaki Greek Taverna, Vancouver

very great food and service, i always go here and the foods always reallllyyy good

This restaurant came recommended to us so we ordered pickup. Without a doubt it was the worst. The calamari was so dried out and tough not fit for human or pet consumption. An order of lasgna was discarded because was awful. The pita was stale, the Greek salad tasted tinny. In other words we would not recommend this place to anyone, we cannot believe it has such high ratings. Discusting, they have their nerve even charging anyone for the mess we got.

My husband and I have eaten at Stepho's for over 15 years and always had the greatest food and service. Well, today was a different story for me. I ordered the calamari and moussaka as usual -- every time I go there. When the moussaka came to the table, I immediately noticed it was burnt all around the edges, but decided to give it a go anyways. I could not even cut through the entire pie to the bottom layer (and I didn't need a new knife either). I asked the waiter to provide me with a different piece. He came back and told me the cook said only the corner piece was burnt (yep, burnt) and the rest would be OK as I 'dived' into the rest towards the center. He said that the cook had also said that a different piece would be the same. Pardon me, but isn't the customer always right! It was definitely burnt. I can bet if a male person had sent it back there would have been no problem to send a replacement. I decided not to argue, but once again reiterated to the waiter that IT WAS BURNT. I left Stepho's with a "sour taste in my mouth" -- no pun intended.

We had squid, moussaka and souvlaki: Squid: Was "dry".. Was this deep fried a second time? But wait... this was just the start. Souvlaki: No tomato or lettuce just lots of onions and the meat. The taztziki was okay but the rest was for dogs, honestly. Moussaka: WAY overcooked and in some places BURNT. This was horrible. SERVICE: Absolute disaster. They refused to give us any discount, even after the waiter talked to the manager. They basically had a "you touched it, too bad" kind of attitude. How the hell does a place like this stay in existence?! In short, dont waste your time, or money. It's not worth it at ALL. absolute worst greek food in vancouver. Cheap food isn't cheap when it's garbage.

Having to wait . Close quarters. Wanted to leave as people were waiting,Would have stayed and drank some more but atmosphere not conduciveto doing that

stepho's rocks anyone and everyone will enjoy this restaurant the omelete is great for breakfast the drinks and food are really cheap i suggest that everyone in vancouver eats a stepho's

We, my wife and I, always look forward to getting to Stepho's when we are in Vancouver. I can not imagine there is any better Greek restaurant in Vancouver; if there is please make a comment here. I only wish we had one, even half as good, in Kamloops.

It's a cute little place with excellent food. Make sure you go hungry because the portion is huge! I usually get 2 meals our of it. But they are always busy, it's better to get take out around supper time unless you want to stand on the street for 20 minutes.

The food couldnt have been any better!!! LOVED IT, and the portions were so big I couldnt even finish and brought the rest home for my boyfriend to eat!!! Love the atmosphere, and the staff are very friendly! Can't wait till Friday when we go again!

Great dips and the best ekmek desert I've ever had. Always have a great time. $3.95 double ouzos nobody beats that.Best Skordalia(garlic Sauce) West of Athens
