Monsoon: East West Brasserie
Description
This hip place explores and blends Asian cuisine from India to China with modern West Coast bistro-style cooking. The space is narrow, with tables lining one wall and bar stools the other. The use of turquoise and terracotta paint creates a vibrant warmth, while tropical plants and exposed brick complete the rustic charm. The Panir Kofta (Indian cheese rolled into balls and stuffed with almond and raisins) with Masala Sauce is a good place to start sampling. A pint of India Pale Ale keeps the palate cool.
Nice ambiance-- esp. on a cold rainy night. Entrees were a little over priced but delicious. Vegetarian options are available. Not a place for children, more for young couples.
