Best kept secret in Canada

The snow is great - amazing is more like it. The people on the mountain and in the town are open, friendly, and real. That's actually a very good word not only to describe Marmot Basin but Jasper as well, REAL. No bull, no hype, just real.
The skiing is like baby Whistler...similar terrain, but less lift time to get to enjoy it. If you're into it, you can get a ton of vertical in a single day. There's lots of easy terrain for the beginner and intermediate (and those who're into working on their technique) but if you want to scare yourself, there's plenty of that too. Chutes, glades, bowls, and lots of fresh, REAL snow. Plenty of stuff to make your sphincter contract. So all in all, at Marmot Basin, you can pretty much pick your poison, and get ready to be hooked. Ask any local - most came for a holiday and never left.
