This large local shopping center in downtown Jasper offers shoppers nearly everything from books to booze. The Marketplace International Wines, Beers & Spirits, Sunrise Galleries (local art prints and originals), Truffles and Trout (coffee shop), Marketplace Books (best-selling books in every category), and the Counterclockwise Emporium (unique gift shop) all lie under the Jasper Marketplace's roof. There's also a postal outlet, currency exchange and photocopier service.
My boyfriend and I ate here every day...many times taking their excellent sandwiches with us on the trail. The egg salad was excellent to take on the trail (and not quite as attractive to bears as the equally excellent salmon sandwiches). Great selection of books, gifts, and jewelry too. But the real reason to come back again and again is the food and coffee shop.
