West Edmonton Mall's waterpark covers over two hectares (five acres) and incorporates 20 water activities. The waterslides at the World Waterpark are miles long, there are kids pools and bungee jumps, and the water is kept at a pleasant 30 degrees Celsius (86 degrees Fahrenheit). Sharky, the mall's mascot for this attraction, is available for private functions. Periodic special offers (such as a "free for parents" day), are offered; check the website for details.
The park is a lot of fun but very pricey. Especially when you have to buy the food and drink there. It is very hard to make this affordable for groups or families of any size. Because of this it's kind of a rip off.
West Ed Waterpark is THE best waterpark ever. Trust me, you won't go disappointed. Great slides, huge, not to mention fun, wavepool. A little on the pricey side but hey, you pay for what you get. I'd recommend it to anybody.
There is so much to do. There are fun activities for the whole family. An area for little children, lots of huge, fast, and fun waterslides for the more adventerous person, tube lazy rivers, and even bungee jumping.
When we came to Edmonton to see relatives, we weren't really sure about it but we went to it for a day and the kids just loved it. The wave pool and all the slides were incredible and it is a childhood wonderland. My husband and I had a lot of fun too so I would definitely recommend it.
