Description

This science and technology learning center attracts many visitors for its notable Discovery Dome Theatre, a huge dome screen equipped with digital sound. There is a series of exhibitions for children, with plenty of hands-on learning stations. A food kiosk and a science-oriented gift shop round out the experience. Timings are seasonal so call ahead for open hours.

Great Intro to Science

This Science Centre is a gem. Lots of kid-level activities, but there are plenty of things for adults to do as well, both indoors and out. Our family of four found lots to do and lots worthy of photos as well. It does take time to go through, so plan to use up the better part of a day. Any time we have been there the place has been very crowded, and the parking lot has been full. Taking Calgary Transit is a better idea. There's a train station at 7th ave and 10th st, about 2 blocks away. The train is FREE downtown!!
