Kensington is adored for its hip shops and cafes, but if you are looking for something a little more tranquil nearby, visit this urban park. Riley Park features vast expanses of green space (perfect for throwing around a football or just lying in the sun), a cricket pitch, picnic tables, a refreshment stand, playgrounds and well-tended flower gardens. On sunny days, children find excitement in the popular wading pool, splashing around with the neighborhood kids while parents and baby-sitters watch wearily on.

Great Place for the Family!

Riley park is fantastic! I love bringing my kids there my 3 yr old loves the freedom of being in the knee high water by himself and I love being able to let him explore knowing he won't drown or having life guards be on your back about being within arms reach all the time! Even when your kid can swim and has a life jacket on! This park is in kensignton so you can enjoy a Starbucks and grab a healthy lunch from Safeway gerocerie store that's across the street! There is lots of green space as well as a park with slides etc. A great way to spend a warm summer day with your family.

Wonderful day out!

It is a wonderful place to hang out with the kids. It has a wading pool, with fountains. The kids absolutely love going in and out of the water, and it goes up to your knees. It is free, which makes it all the better. It is a place you must go and try out, especially on hot, summer days!

Moms- a great day with the kids!

Riley Park has been around for as long as I can remember as a native Calgarian. I remember it as lots of fun as a child and went back with my own kids last year- it's even more fun than I remember! Lots of open green space to run on, well maintained water park (shallow enough for the smallest babe) and best of all- free! It's the perfect place to go with fellow moms and all the kids. Pack a little picnic and squat under the fantastic, huge shadow-y trees!
