Beehive, Calgary

When our daughter moved to Calgary, we of course went there to visit. On our first visit in 2000, she took us to The Beehive. Now, we go to the store every time we are in Calgary, with a list not only for ourselves, but for all our Winnipeg family and friends that have become addicted to these fabulous, natural products. We love all the products, (I am pretty sure we have tried them all); and this year, we were tickled to see products for pets. They may have been there before, but we get so engrossed!! Everything is a favourite, and I am partial to anything with the Sandelwood scent. The gentleman that serves us, is friendly, diligent, and super accommodating about packaging things up for us so that everyone's products come home in their own neat package. Sue is a truly superb artisan, and we are so glad. Now we can order on line, or by phone and only one charge for shipping and handling, regardless of the size/weight. The owner was very friendly and knowledgable for starters, and secondly the products are heavenly! I have three skin conditions and my skin tolerates the products at this store 'very' well. Not only this, but the soaps come in lovely earthy scents you'll be hardpressed to find elsewhere, the products come in nice containers without obnoxious labels, and the scents of the handcreams last forever, yet the smell isn't intoxicating, but more like a warm and fuzzy blanket for your sense of smell. I would recommend these products to anyone!

My boyfriend and I were spending the weekend in Calgary from Boise and we stopped into the Beehive. He bought some lotion and I got a bath salt. I just it-great smells and very, very friendly owners. I recommend it to anyone visiting or living in Calgary!

My husband has extremely sensitive skin and with the weather in Calgary his face dries out badly. The shave cream and after shave lotion from the Beehive works better than any prescription cortesone cream he has tried. I also really love the oatmeal soap, the bubble bath and the lip conditioner (which lasts forever). The only thing I wish they would do is create a website so that I could purchase their products online! Great job to the owner Sue for creating an amazing shop with very reasonable prices.

I walked in and my first thought was that I wouldn't be able to stay as I am chemically sensitive. I took another breath and realized that this was the real deal.... nothing to hurt you here! I am trying their soaps and bubble bath and I've found my sensitive skin tolerates them very well. I recommend a trip here for sensitive people and for those who just want to be thoroughly pampered :-)

I love this place. I have soap and body wash from there. The body wash, I only need a small amount, for enormous cleaning and bubble power. You have to go, if for nothing else but the chocolate soap. **YUMMY**
