Mescalero's Restaurant, Calgary

Mescalero's has been one of Calgary's better restaurants for a number of years, offering California cuisine and tapas with a Southwestern flare. Unusual offerings, like grilled scallops on butter lettuce and radicchio and Peruvian brick-style chicken breast supreme, share the menu with more conventional fare such as portobello quesadillas, for example. They also make a mean margarita. A bright lounge is done in heavy reds and blacks. There is also a patio and a store selling interesting Mexican gifts.
