Montana's Cookhouse Saloon, Calgary

September 2009 - I am not one to write online reviews but I have been so appalled by this restaurant that it is my civil duty to protect others! It's not that I had one bad experience, I gave this restaurant (at multiple locations) several chances and I just don't know how it is still around. First of all, the kids meals are decent, no complaint there. But other than that, the food and service are horrendous. Service: slow and just clueless is the best word that comes to mind (I wonder if this business is really a front for some drug ring, because at several locations, the waiters/waitresses just have no idea what's going on - getting the orders mixed, not knowing specials, etc). And the food - where do I start. I ordered a side of veggies once and they gave me half a steamed head of broccoli - one big chunk just sitting on my plate. I ordered baked cheese pasta once and complaining that it lacked cheese, and they came back to tell me that the cook had forgotten to put the cheese on and bake it! My sister order steak medium rare, it came burnt...I really don't know what is going on at this place...it baffles me that it is still around....
