This Lebanese restaurant is perfect for a midday falafel sandwich or evening couscous feed. The menu features a large selection of traditional Middle Eastern specialties such as mezza, kabobs, lamb chops, shwarma, and baklava. There are also Lebanese twists on western dishes: Aida's Caesar salad is tossed with pita chips and orange blossom water flavours her lemonade. Those unfamiliar with Lebanese cuisine need not worry: the menu gives detailed descriptions of each dish to assist neophyte diners who don't know their rookaak from their tabouleh.

In love!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/11/09
Loved it all. The cozy atmosphere, the people, the FOOD! I was absolutely stuffed and still ordered hummus & mouhammarah & grape leaves to take home. You have to have the Mouhammarah.

Deliciously Cozy!

We went here for a staff dinner and received excellent service. The dining environment was unpretentious and lovely. But best of all the food was well-prepared and delicious. I recommend the falafel and a dish that consisted of green beans simmered in a savory tomato base.

I go often for dinner
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/12/08
My favorite parts are the WIDE menu variety and Aida's own version of Tirimisu that is alcohol-free and absolutely delicious! The worst parts are sometimes the servers are less-than experienced, and also it's busy so sometimes there's a wait for a table.

Average food
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/04/08
We went there after reading the reviews on this site, sad to say it did not live up to our expectations. The taste was just average, the portions were small, we have eaten at far better middle eastern restaurants in this city. We really liked the desserts though, they were delicious, would only go back for the desserts and not for the main items.

Great for takeout!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/15/08
The variety of food is very large, with many different things to try. The space is very tight, but cozy. The menu items are somewhat pricey for the type of restaurant that this is.

A lovely place to eat
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/23/08
Aida's is charming and cheap. Although it is a little busier now that it has become better known, the food quality remains the same and ambiance is fabulous. i would highly recommend it to others!

best sit down med. in town!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/21/07
so great! all their food is exceptional! i suggest the falafel platter with hummus! such a great treat! a new twist on comfort food! the entrance is a little crowded and the fill up fast, so to avoid not getting in i suggest reservations ANY night of the week.

A nice little restaurant
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/31/07
On the whole I enjoyed eating here. Although service was very slow - it took almost 45 mins to get our food and we were only having a main course. I only had one dish. I can't remember exactly what it was - some kind of chicken shwarma I think. It was very tasty, although very greasy and a little salty, but my eating companions were very happy with their choices.

The food was amazing and we received awesome service. I was there for my 25th birthday and would love to come back again soon. I have recommended many people to go there to experience the great food and atmosphere. Thanks

Best Lebanese!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/21/06
Excellent food... great value! The lamb dishes are a great choice, as well as all of the dips. Perfect for vegetarians too. My favourite restaurant in Calgary!
