Misai Japanese Restaurant
With cherry wood accents, paper lanterns and subtle lighting, this restaurant is an elegant venue for fine Japanese dining. The menu features traditional Japanese cuisine including salad, don, noodles, tempura, yakimono, and, of course, a wide assortment of sushi. Misai is fully licensed and a range of sake and Japanese beer is available. VIP tatami rooms are suited to meetings or private functions, and a free shuttle service is available for large luncheon groups or dinner guests from northeast hotels.
I ate at the Misai Sushi restaurant with a 3 other work colleges on Monday and I have to say I was blow away by the quality of the restaurant. I work just around the corner and have recently moved here from Japan. I am not Japanese but was seconded there for almost 4 years.
The sushi and sashimi was fresh and the produce was high quality. I have read some of the other reviews and I am not sure what they are expecting. The service was outstanding. I was greeted by a friendly waitress who ushered us to a booth where she offered us drinks and walked us through the menu.
The food arrived promptly and was of very high quality. The salmon was a beautiful rich pink and super fresh the rice was firm with a slight hint of vinegar. The presentation was on the money.
I loved the décor of the place I felt like I was back in Japan
Keep it up Misai I will be back
we been to this place so many times..and i have to admit the food is great...great selections..however, every single time the service sucks.
we wait around 20 -25 mins just to place our order, even when though it is not busy. There is a manager in the place, but she obviously does not manage very well. They always make a mistake on the order...
Food is great for both sushi lovers and non-sushi lovers.
