Description

This restaurant is located just 5 minutes from the Stampede Grounds. Although on the smallish side, (it only seats about 35) they have managed to use the space wisely. High ceilings and an uncluttered environment add to its informal charm. They specialize in Vietnamese cuisine, as well as seafood and vegetarian dishes. They offer original noodle soups and delicious vegetarian dishes as well as delicious stir-fry; a large take-out menu is available.

I go here all the time and love the Chicken Curry soup and the spring rolls. I hope they stay in business a long time.

Worst Vietnamese

I absolutely disliked the ambiance , the air reeked of urine . The food tased very bland, and the service was extremely poor. No one comes around to check if we are ok, or if the food was good, or if we wanted any seconds. We got what we paid for , the food was cheap , so was the quality. The person at the till was extremely cocky and rude, especially when I mentioned that she was losing customers with her attitude , she dint seem to care. Definitely not my best experience!!

WAS the best

This was Calgary's first Vietnamese restaurant and until the change in ownership this year, was also THE BEST Vietnamese restaurant in Calgary. Not any more. Service and value remain the same, but the food quality plummeted. My Vietnamese wife and I used to eat here weekly, but our last meal here changed all that. Try Minh Chau or Noodle World instead.

The good traditional food to try!

Viet Nam is good country with the wonderful culture and traditional food and good service. if you come to our country, you can easyly to find out a good restaurant and enjoy the food. especialy, in the south of Viet nam - Mekong delta, you can try many kinds of fish. For example, the sour soup of fish is the best one I like...and so on.

Super Fast

Wow, this restaurant serve food very fast and good taste. Even when rush hour, they get your order and done within 7 minutes. Appetizers, Vietnamese spring rolls on newspaper, number 1 in calgary. Some people order large spring rolls in this restaurant and take home to B.C. ... Finally, the favourites food I like or many people like are number 54 = Charbroiled pork and spring rolls on rice vermicelli "beans spourt, salad, green onion, peanut, and fish saurce comes with it". Other numbers would be 113, 90, 27, 30, 68, ... if you want to find out what are in those numbers have, get out and try 1 number each time, you wont regret for what you pay for ;) Over all, great food, great taste, good place "large parking", 2nd floor, over 135 seats, not 35, close to downtown, and this restaurant is the 1st Vietnam restaurant in Calgary.
