Cheesecake Cafe (The)
On weekend nights, the waiting crowd spills out to the parking lot, anxious to exercise their guilty dining pleasures. The contemporary menu offers a wide range of selections from pasta to burgers, but just about everyone saves tummy room for one of the oversized dessert items, of which there are countless choices and good values at roughly CAD5 a slab. Come dessert time, seasoned visitors spring up from their tables and carefully choose from the many cheesecakes, pies and puddings chilling inside a glass display case near the entrance. The portions are huge, with take-home containers being standard issue.
This is our favorite place to eat. The Staff is friendly and usually fast. If there is any problem they always fix it in one way or another. The food is a great value for your money. There are large portions for the same price as other's small portions. I always take home leftovers. The cheesecake is to die for, even if I don't have room for desert I always take a piece home.
There menu contains more than 175 items, you can't go wrong. They also have an unbelievable 40 kinds of cheesecake and other desserts. They have just redone the MacLeod Tr location.
RE: NW location of The Cheesecake Cafe.
A real disappointment. The half chicken I ordered was not properly prepared. Some parts were cold and some warm. Other sections of the meat were red. Also, the meal came with a side of beans, mashed potatoes and coleslaw. The beans were on the cold side and the mashed potatoes were barely warm. The coleslaw tasted terrible.
The waitress serving us was unwelcoming. We waited for a long time before our bill was finally given to us and that was after flagging down another waiter. When our waitress finally gave us the bill she dropped it on our table and walked away without even asking us how the meal was or providing us with a thank-you. She was unprofessional with her attitude and that was a bigger disappointment than the food itself. The service was terrible.
