Buon Giorno's Restaurant
You will find Buon Giorno's restaurant located on trendy 17th Avenue, just across the street from Mount Royal Village, which is just the place for an after-dinner stroll. This quaint little Italian eatery has more than location to offer, though: they feature traditional Italian food like linguini in clam sauce and a locally-famous lasagna; the beautiful and elaborate fireplaces make you feel like you are sitting in someone's home—cozy and intimate.
The staff are tremendously friendly and the food is fantastic! We stumbled on the place many years ago because we had a coupon. Ever since, its been our favorite Italian place. Try the pasta feast. Any three pastas all on one platter for two or more people to share. This is ultimate comfort food. Full of flavour, freshly made, and smells like heaven. The best calamari anywhere. Go hungry because the portions are generous.
if you are looking to have someone put the bib on you do not go here, if you want some good old itailian food with a old world atmosphere check it out,the owners cook and serve very rare anywhere, you will find italian food here bottom line , comfortable and very welcoming, I always go back when in the calgary area
The waiter was terrible about customer service. I complained at the host's desk, only to have the waiter come up to the table embarrassing me in front of my 7 other guests .He was rude and figured he did not need to do his job since he was a long term employee. Not once did he offer wine or refill glasses of water or replenish the rolls. I was surprised he asked if we would like dessert but not coffee . The food was lacking flavour and the experience regrettable
Buon Giorno has the most consistent food quality & service that we have had anywhere in Calgary. We have been going regularly for the last 20 years.
The prices are very good also. It's not a hoydie toydie place. It's very casual & relaxing. You can take clients, family & freinds to this restaraunt.
I don't know what we'll do if they ever close the restaraunt. I said it once in another review that I'll probably have to move back to Italy with George & Gabriel if they ever decide to retire. Lol !
