Nicastro Foods Cappuccino Bar, Calgary

Tucked into a corner of an Italian supermarket, this cappuccino bar serves as a haunt for the neighborhood's Italians and wanna-be's. Nicastro serves up enormous sandwiches of Italian cold cuts, as well as piles of pasta smothered in Mrs. Nicastro's homemade tomato sauce. If not for the delicious food, the inexpensive beer and wine, or the fine espresso, visit just for the kitchy decor. One wall is airbrushed with a mural of Robert Deniro, Dean Martin, Elvis Presley and Pope John Paul II sitting down to espresso and red wine.
