Boyd's Seafood Restaurant, Calgary

parking was free, service was prompt and the 6 of us had a great time. the place wasnt busy but the food and service kept everybody happy.

I'll have to say that I'll NEVER return to this store again. For 1 the staff I met 2 out of 3 that I dealt with were just rude, no reason to be, I'm here to spend "MY" money into the buisiness you work. Without customers you have no job. And what was the funny part is when I tell the one person she says ya we know there like that i'm sorry......HELLO if ya know they are like that have them removed from the public. And as for the food OMG 14$ for a two piece fish n chip.. The fish was soggy, small. The fries, lol there was about 12 french fries..Tarter sauce, packaged premade crap, come on Boyd's Seafood...no one in there really gives a crap, that's a shame

Food was Great! However, I tried to use the Coupon from the Entertainment Book, I was told I couldn't use it because my meal was to expensive. I did e-mail the Owner but his response was defensive and apparently I should be symaphetic to the position he was put in by having his company in the Coupon book. Bogus... I'm the customer, that's not how it works. Oh well.

Service was kind but very slow even though the restaurant was completely empty. Coffee wasn't hot. And then my meal came out barely warm - Holland Sole. My partner ordered haddock and it was decent. We sent the Sole back and it came back still warm and not eating temperature. Asked again, and kitchen said "no, we did it right the first time." I didn't eat the dish and they didn't comp it. We were polite and didn't want to cause a scene, but we explained that we didn't want to eat a dish that wasn't warm. Server explained that "if she was cooking it, it would be done properly". So, we paid for a meal that we couldn't eat.

Great service, friendly atmosphere and overall a great and rich cultural experience. It would be a great place for anyone to vist, and its good on any day of the month. Thanks for all the woderful times.

A friend took me there and I must say I've very happy with the food. Service, ambiance, value could be better, but you won't care much if you have their Signature Fish & Chips with the Halibut.
