Description

Devoted to the memory of Bruno Engler, Banff's famous mountain explorer, this cafe has great coffee, cold beer and an eclectic menu. Bruno serves up big sandwiches, samosas and wraps. Grab a snack, and relax on one of their colorful couches. You can also drop by for dinner - they are known for their bison burgers - but local consensus has it that it's better for brunch, lunch and the all-day breakfast. There are two computer terminals for Internet access, but perhaps the greatest feature in the bright cafe is the electric massage chair in the corner. For just a dollar you can get a surprisingly satisfying rubdown.

Don' just walk past and wonder

I went there back in 2004 for a quick holiday and places like this one had me staying in the area for the whole year. the staff and the atmospere(both which seem to feed off each other) set this small family run business apart from the pull them in pump them out bars and restaurants that litter holiday destinations around the country. the prices are the most competitive in town, the beers cold, the menu diverse and the staff are warm. Can't ask for much more than that. Do yourself a favour and don't miss out on this must do Canadian Rockies Experience

Bruno and Chantel's memory.

There was nothing to dislike. We settled into some good food and drinks after a long drive. We had no intention of staying, just stopping but the atmosphere was so well put together. The staff was so nice and didn't treat us like we were customer's yet more like family. We ended up staying the whole night, had alot of fun and they even managed to find us a hotel for the night when there was no vacancey anywhere. It will always be remeberable and was a great part of our holiday. We tour to Banff just about every year and it was the first time we stopped in and now we always will make it apart of our tour. Thanks for all the fun, memories and good times. Oh ya and the photo. Take care to all of you and Have a Happy New Year! The Boutins
