This city centre restaurant/lounge is located far enough from the touristy areas to be considered an "Israeli" hangout. A beautiful seating area with huge windows wraps around the entire bar and a nostalgic crystal chandelier dominates the space. The drink line-up is extensive with hundred of combinations and beer on tap. Whisky connoisseurs will enjoy 26 different selections plus the finest Vodkas, Tequila and Rum. The food is also impressive with Barbecue Shish Kebab, Fettuccini Alfredo and most extraordinary is the selection of Shellfish choices including Calamari, Shrimp and Mussels.

Difficult to find but worth the effort

Remember that this trendy and eclectic restaurant is under "Cup a Joes" and you will be glad you dined there. The fish choices are numerous and the wines are excellent. We especially liked the summer pan fish. And the shrimp risotto was excellent. The view of the kitchen, outstanding service and full bar enhanced the experience.

I know Chakra since many years. We go there each time we are in Jerusalem. The food is simple, fresh & authentic, the service is perfect & smiley & the bar is great. It’s full each evening since 10 years. Make a reservation… Rafi - Paris

probably the best place if you look at value for money! Not kosher, so take a break from the "Holy City" and immerse yourself into the ambience of a modern and self-aware young nation. Always full and still nice to sit. YOU MUST MAKE A RESERVATION!

Delicious non-kosher rest. in Jerusalem

The restaurant is apparently well known. We decided to come back to Jerusalem for this one, based on the crowd at the entrance and the valuable recommending stickers (Israel Mapa + Gault & Millaut). The food was excellent and the service too. Opens only for dinner, from 6:00 (7/7)

We wnet to Chakra on our last day in Jerusalem. We liked the food,large(a bit too) quantities,a delicious desert, the outstanding, friendly and interested service. The interior, the ambiance. In short everything.By the way they are open on Shabbat, and you must make reservations.

Just the best place to go in Jerusalem. We went there regularly . . food people wine all amazing. And very good value for money. Simply no where better.
