Description
Founded in 1938, this neighbourhood cafe is older than the state of Israel. The Knesset established itself right across the street and thus Ta'amon became a well-known spot for beginning ministers, journalists and much of the neighbourhood. Today, years after the Knesset has moved and many Governments have passed under the bridge, this simple, unobtrusive cafe has stood its ground and managed to survive a divided city, three wars and competition from the more fashionable bars and cafes around. A reasonably priced Israeli breakfast is served all day.
