Being opposite the New Theatre , The Grapes makes for a natural stopping-off point after a show. A beautiful brass and mirror-bedecked watering hole, it is friendly and busy; but despite its popularity, you can nearly always find a table. The poster-caked ceiling is a shrine to theater and musicals, and the furniture is comfy and leather-upholstered. The live blues or jazz accompaniment makes it one of the most relaxing places to drink in town.
