You've probably seen these buses - along with London double-deckers, tour buses and more tour buses. Regardless of your usual attitude towards guided tours, these hop-on, hop-off tours are a good way to get an overview of the city, and you can make mental notes of where to go for a more thorough visit. The price you pay with The Big Bus Company is for a 24-hour ticket; during this time you can travel anywhere on the tour network, which encompasses stops over just about all of central London. Included in the price is a free walking tour and Thames River cruise, as well as numerous discounts for West End shows. Guide tapes are available in 12 languages, and the company won the London Sightseeing Tour of the Year award. Be careful when choosing the open-air rooftop, because London is notorious for fickle weather.

The Best Place in london

I look the vibrant environment, the colors and the beauty of place. The combination was just amazing, The place is cheap to visit. I booked a taxi from superminicab , as super minicab is the best service in london and get there from Heathrow in just 30 Pounds :P

1ST Day Must Do !

Have been to London several times. As other posters comment, this is the ideal 1st day thing to do, after your overnight flight. You get your bearings about the city. Then on your next go round hop on and off. Takes you very close to most of the major sightseeing spots. I stay close to Victoria Station so I drop off my luggage, down the street, around the corner and hop on a bus. Do all my reservations on line. Have a great ride!!!

not recommended: rip-off!!!

The tour with the Big Bus Company is quite nice, you don`t have to wait very long to get on bus. but DON`T BUY TICKETS FOR ANY SIGHTSEEING ATTRACTION ON THE BUS!!! they tell you you don`t have to wait in the quee, but thats not right!! And, i told them that im a student, but they sold me the ticket pour the price for an adult!!! i could have saved a lot of money! In conclusion, i dont recommend The Big Bus Company because they are out to screw the tourists!

Best Ride in Town

The Big Red Bus is the best way to see London and the surrounding areas. It is very imformitive you learn alot, full of details and things you never would think of. Never a dull moment. The drivers are very polite, infact they were the best ones to ask any questions of that I found in London. Love that bus.

the perfect way to discover London

I went in London 2 times in 3 weeks and if the city is amazing, the Big Bus tours contributes to my so quick come back: friendly people, very informated guides who understood that you can provided serious information on a funny tone. As I'm on my own ( and a woman ) I took them as my main transportation mean in the day. making me more secure and confortable. I Highly recommend them for their quality service and their frendly welcoming of people

The best introduction to London

The absolute best thing to do first thing off the plane in London (as other reviewers have stated). It's a full overview of the city with humorous guides (or if you prefer pre-recorded, more informative, guided headphone based commentary) and a route that covers it all. Its hop-on, hop-off is the perfect way to see the city with a ton of stops. You won't fall asleep despite the jet lag and the price is dirt cheap.

Rain Gear Provided!

My family of 5 loved the Big Bus Company in London. We rode it all around the city and it was quite informative. When the rain started... they even provided us some rain ponchos! How fun! We rode around on the top of the bus with our ponchos on and then when we got off the bus, we walked around town in them. Did we look touristy and ridiculous? Probably. Did we have a great time and not get wet? Absolutely!

Fun Trip

The Big Bus really is the only way to go. It's the first thing I do on every trip to London. I hop on the bus and take the complete tour. Then, once I've been reminded of why I love London so much, I take the tour again. This time I jump on and off the bus at different sites. The bus stops at all the popular attractions and you can get on and off as much as you like for 24 hours. And you get a free map...

No other way to see London for the first time

Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Congrats to all the staff at the Big Bus Company.I thouroughly enjoyed every moment.I will definately be back and will recommend it to everyone else.

A great introduction to London!

The Big Bus Company offers a great value for money sightseeing tour, excellent guides and friendly pavement staff. I found the free Ghost Walking tour was the highlight of my Big Bus experience. It was definately worth the money, would recommend!
