Completed in 1958, the London Planetarium became the first planetarium in Britain and remains one of the largest in the world today. It is a great place to lose yourself in outer space, watching the stars projected onto a huge copper dome. If it feels like you are truly in the sky rather than just looking up at it, it's because the star projector used was developed by the US space agency NASA. Interactive videos and live satellite links add to the overall high-tech effect.
the planetarium was a beautiful place to see the planets and stars when i was in London back when I was a kid. You were able to have a seat and look at the celling and see a projection of the planets and the stars. When I went back with my daughter they had changed it to a movie of the stars which was about hollywood people and I was disappointed that my daughter was not able to see what I had seen when I was a kid. I had grown up in London and there is a lot of things to see. It maybe expensive now but it is worth going to London.
