This brilliant shoe shop will entice you with its wonderful window displays. Sit on a velvet upholstered chair at this LK Bennett store and try on some kitten heels, high heels, mules, loafers, ankle-high boots, knee-high boots, suede flats, animal print stilettos. Whatever the occasion, you'll find it here, among a comprehensive mid-range collection of must-have shoes. The chain also sells clothes (mostly suits, conventional tops and casual trousers), and a small, but rather cute collection of bags. There are several other branches dotted around London .
I tried to return 2 faulty LK Bennett items and was refused. The sales assistant, who had been sweetness and light up until realising I was returning an item, became frankly aggressive as she gave me one story after another: company policy no returns without receipt, item not faulty, etc. Eventually they agreed to send the item to head office. They came back saying that the items were not faulty, which they clearly were.
There are lots of comments to this effect online (even above, from 3 years ago - nothing has changed). LK Bennett are clearly never refunding faulty items which must surely be against the law?!
I bought a bag for c. £200. 3 months & about 10 uses of the bag later, and the handle had frayed & the tiny leather straps (about 4mm) which were the only way to close the bag had fallen off. Clearly this was a design fault.
I returned the bag (with receipt) to them - the problems with the bag were clear. The store manager refused to give me a refund, despite the obvious faults. I would have to wait 6 weeks for them to "inspect" the bag & even then there was no guarantee of a refund. Any damage done to the bag during inspection would be at MY risk!!!!
By law, a customer has a right to a refund for faulty goods within 6 months of purchase. The retailer has no right to refuse. LK Bennett's refund policy is entirely flagrant of their statutory obligations.
I ended up paying to get an exchange. The store manager was unpleasant, ignorant of the law on sales of goods, and condescending. I have never been so badly treated in a retail store. I will NEVER shop there again.
Please be aware that there is a SERIOUS risk that if you buy faulty goods, they will NOT refund you in breach of the Sales of Goods Act 1979. When you've paid upwards of £150 for a bag, this is a nasty & unpleasant surprise.
I will NOT be returning to the store - I recommend that you do NOT shop there.
This is one of the shops I would never miss on any of my visits!Want a good shopping experience in Paris? Then taste a bit of the British fashion with a French twist! This is a place where you'll get great designs (although these have gone down a little in originality in the past seasons, let's hope it's just a phase!) at great prices (amazing sales in January and June) and staff always happy to help you with the perfect advice and a big smile from the moment you get in till the moment you leave! One word:fantastic!
in comparison to designer shoes LK Bennett sells shoes that are in style absolutely as lovely but often lack in quality with regards to how the material is used.
buy shoes in LK Bennett sales - they'll be a bargain!
when do you open a shop in Germany?
I have never left this shoe shop empty handed. Origional designs for all ages, and staff willing to bend over backwards to help find the stock you want from any store. Dont miss the sale, it has all you could ask for at less than half price.
