Disappointed

The ambiance of Fish in a Tie is great, busy, bustling and the decor makes it feel like a true Parisien backstreet restaurant.
Unfortuntately that was the best bit - the service was slow, our starters took 35 minutes to arrive. They were good though, if rather simple.
I took the special, fillet steak, as did my friend and my girlfriend ordered the vegetarian parcel. The steak was overcooked, and served on a bland potato mash, with thick onion gravy more suited to a Sunday roast. Veggie parcel was also bland and looked miserable, much like we were.
Maybe the best thing to do is stay away from the specials, and go when it's quieter. We won't be going back however.
