Ed's Easy Diner
This bubblegum-style archetypical American diner is the kind of place the characters in Grease would have frequented. It's bright and it's brash, and offers a great resting spot on King's Road for kids old and young. Staff are overtly friendly, and no-one has yet worked out if the chef's American accent is real or not. A personal jukebox with 50s and 60s music is available for each table/counter space. Ed's offers hot dogs, burgers and the thickest milkshake you'll ever have.
I was in London for two weeks with my family and found Eds. Being from Phoenix, Az I used to go to Ed Debevics frequently. As much as I adore London, having an 'American' meal was refreshing. And Eds brought back great memories of Ed D's.
The greatest thing about Eds was the BIG glasses of water...with ICE!!!!
Great service- I got my food soon and it was hot and fresh. All of the staff was so friendly and they really seemed to put the customer first. The burgers were so juicy, and the milkshakes were especially good :)
The atmosphere made me feel like I was back home and the food was alright. I waited thirty minutes to be seated with my two children. The wait would have been half as long if they did not seat parties of one and two ahead of us. What is really disappointing is that I recently received my visa statement and Ed's Easy Diner charged me three times for the same meal. I have the original receipt and hope to have the two additional charges dropped. If you want to eat at Ed's Easy Diner, don't use a credit card, its a real headache trying to get the matter straightened out.
