Notting Hill Brasserie
Tucked away among elegant houses on Kensington Park road, the Notting Hill Brasserie has none of the hustle and bustle of Notting Hill proper. Calling it a brasserie is a bit of a misnomer because it's really a seriously stylish and tastefully decorated restaurant. Aboriginal art, African carvings, abstract prints and some rather impressive sculptured toucans decorate the walls, while the whole place exudes an aura of calm sophistication without being intimidating, but it's definitely more of a dress up than dress down venue. The modern menu ranges from Fish Soups and Duck Comfits starters, to Red Snapper and Roasted Calves Liver and Lamb Kidney mains. Choose a wine to match from the wide list that has bottles to suit every taste.
It was a great dining experience. Fantastic staff too. Had an aperitif at the bar with the live jazz (although it's a little loud, my only complaint). The meal itself was fantastic. Great cheeseboard and deserts. Good wine list too. Service was just right. Would go back again and again but it's little expensive for eating out unless it's a special occasion.
Arrived at the Notting Hill Brasserie and felt a wonderful warm atmosphere straight away. We sat in the bar and had fab cocktails while listening to a jazz duo that were really good, (I am a bit of a jazz enthusiast) The food was amazing, the best that I have eaten in London, my girlfriend is pretty particular and she said the scallops was the best dish she had ever tasted. The service was great and all the staff were very friendly. Not cheap but great value, a brilliant discovery!
This is not your typical Japanese restaurant. The 80 seat Roka is centered around a Robata cooking grill and even
has a Shochu cocktail bar. Robata means "with open flames" and that's what most of the menu focuses on. ...
Cafe culture in Hampstead is prolific, yet this recent, colorful addition has got itself noticed even so. A cafe diner

Modhubon is a small Indian restaurant, conveniently located on the much trodden route between Notting Hill Gate tube station and
Portobello Market. The deco is Indian, although the owner has definitely veered away from some of the more colourful ...
