Feast your senses in this flamboyant, theatrical restaurant set behind Covent Garden's Theatre Royal, close to The Royal Opera House. The overwhelming opulence of gilt frescoes and rich red velvet provide the perfect backdrop to the gourmet operatic experience, and there are tables in each of the 10 differently-styled opera boxes up on high. But the real treat is yet to come Every Sunday and Monday the restaurant swells to the magnificent sounds of operettas and arias performed live. The food is generically Mediterranean in style, sprinkled with Turkish specialities such as Anatolian style lamb, kofte and baklava. There is a three-course set Opera Cabaret menu for around £20 and the wine list is very reasonably priced considering the potential tourist attraction.
