This local pizzeria has been feeding South Kensington families for decades, and can name the late Princess Diana and her sons as past customers. The guests aren't the restaurant's only royal connection - the gorgeous Venetian building in which you'll find Da Mario was commissioned by Queen Victoria. The ground floor is cramped but friendly and the basement, where you'll find a dance floor, doesn't get going until the disco music is cranked up. If you're a regular, don't be surprised to see your photo on the wall. Although the menu offers pasta and meats, no one seems to skip the pizzas. The selection is pretty good, but if you like your pizzas thin-crusted and crisp, you might not be too impressed. Last orders are at 11.30pm but the restaurant doesn't close until 1am, so it's a great place for a late night chat with friends.
this place is wonderful. the food is authentic and excellent, the atmosphere is fun and, although not a place for those on a very low budget, it's worth every bit as a little splurge.
the tables in the basement are wonderful ONLY when they're all occupied. it's a bit less cozy when very few diners are downstairs.
it's now being run by the next generation as, sadly, mario passed away late in 2007. the boys are doing him proud.
i'll be back whenever i can be.
ps: the tiramisu is perfection.

There is not a single thing on the menu that is bad-- and for those who are into going to off the beaten path restaurants, this one is a great choice. Since it's so close to Kensington Palace, Princess Diana used to eat there- they have a specialty pizza offered that they used to make for her. Well worth the trip to Kensington!
If you like American burgers or rock memorabilia this will be on your tourist route, so don't resist. And anyway,
this is the world's first Hard Rock, so there's some value in that. Be warned though, this venue is ...
Considering its proximity to China Town, the HK Diner is always bustling. It is regarded by many, especially by the
Chinese population, as a favorite for fine Chinese cuisine. There's a decent selection of seafood dishes costing around £8.20 ...
This is an interesting hybrid of boozer and leafy Thai diner. Amongst the benefits of this unusual alliance is the
combination of pub priced drinks with restaurant standard food. It's always popular often very crowded in the pub and ...
