This popular Italian trattoria in this restaurant-heavy section of W11 is frequented by Notting Hill locals. A warm, cosy interior makes this a perfect local. The menu features the classics, from the mozzarella and Parma ham starter to fish with fennel; from antipasti platters to fresh pasta. Service is efficient and a reasonable wine list completes your dining experience.
Went to Mediterraneo last night and whilst the food was fine, the extra $2 they put on all pasta meals is outrageous. What a disgusting ploy to take extra money from patrons with the excuse that you have to pay more for the pasta if you have it as a main when you are not advised verbally - only small print at the bottom of the menu. Anyone that lives in Notting Hill and wants to continue patronising such a rip off restaurant obviously have more money than sense - especially when there are 2 other perfectly good places within 1 min walk.
