Strathclyde Country Park
This park is in the Clyde Valley just outside the city, but it certainly justifies a trip as you could happily spend a lifetime here. Thousands of visitors come to enjoy everything, from sailing on Strathclyde Loch to birdwatching in the woodland and wetlands. There is a well-equipped campsite and facilities for many sports on both land and water, including horse riding, orienteering, coarse angling, football, hockey, windsurfing, water skiing and Canadian canoeing.
The park itself is great....you can go on the different rides which cater for all ages, you can go to the cosmic 10 pin bowling, take a walk round the loch which is like 4 miles, or there are swing parks outside M&D's funfair and sit on the beach, feed the swans and rent bikes to go a cycle. or go to the water sports center and hire a boat to go out on the water. nothing you cant do!!! and handily i live like 5 mins away :P
