Shish Mahal, Glasgow

It's taken about 30 years but the Shish Mahal has finally come into the light, or rather let the light in. A revamp has left it with a stylish glass frontage, airy new decor, and the poshest toilets outside Buckingham Palace. The service is still the same however, the restaurant has been in the same hands since it opened in 1964 and the staff are pleasant, passionate and knowledgable. The food is still as fabulous as ever with dishes from all over Pakistan and India as well as exciting new dishes with surprising influences. A mezzanine area seating 14 can be hired if you want some privacy. This place is a local favourite for business lunches and celebrating special occasions.
