Beware of Alaska Travel Adventures
My partner left to Alaska to work for ATA under the impression he would work as a raft guide. Upon arrival, he was told they had over-hired, so he could work (at minimum wage) at their salmon bake. They take rent out of the paycheck ($375 to live in a trailer with 5 other employees), and are re-creating the old, wild west, company man debt. As a potential traveler to Alaska, think of disgruntled, oppressed employees working for this highly unethical company. Not the best set-up for a trust-worthy company, or one you should support. While we are pursuing legal action, please keep solidarity by not supporting ATA with your money and time.
