Cult Clothing is a relatively new retailer specializing in casual and urban clothing, exactly the sort of labels popular with skate boarders, clubbers and generally trendy youths. This massive shop houses desirable mainstream brands such as Mambo and Airwalk amongst others and all at reasonable prices. Ask one of the cooler-than-thou staff to show you some of the quirky accessories, including a decent range of sports watches and shades.
Cult had a wide selection of clothes, a little mainstream but there's some nice stuff. Lots of labels like Bench and Pucca.
The loud music is good most of the time, and the changing area is quite nice. The staff are sometimes a bit grumpy and "can't-be-bothered", but usually they are okay.
My only problem with Cult is that for a shop that's so big, you can hardly moove. The shop is claustrophobic as anything, and woe betide the person who goes in there with a rucksack, heavy jacket, or even arms. You'e constantly trying to work your way past teetering displays of jumpers, and the other customers. Also, I think Cult is slightly over priced, so I often can't afford thigns fromt here, but as far as the clothes go, most of the stuff is really nice.
Aimed at the teeny-bopping wanna-be trendies, you'll not find any exclusive labels in Cult. The staff are just a bit pretentious, the loud music is bad, and the shop so stocked-up you can't even see half of what is on display. If you want dirt cheap retro type gear go to Flip; if you want well designed, good quality urban clothing look around for smaller shops and boutiques like OBM and Odd One Out. In short, don't do it!
Situated in the old Town, this shop has a shiny and funky interior. It is strong on hip, independent labels
, check out items by Religion and Komodo amongst others. The trendy stock consists predominantly of trousers, tops and ...
In the heart of the bustling Grassmarket area stands Edinburgh's oldest second hand shop. Now one of the best retro
