There are now ten branches of Starbucks in the city and this one is arguably the most attractive to visit. Sit back and digest the excellent view of Edinburgh Castle and its environs through the expansive windows. There is a wide selection of snacks and the huge Waterstones bookshop downstairs, so this outlet makes a good refueling point after leafing through the books. Whatever you think of the somewhat ridiculous American corporate jargon (e.g. iced-latte with wings) the coffee in every branch of Starbucks the world over is equally good.
