Sweet Melinda's, Edinburgh

I attended this premise personally reserve a table. This was confirmed in writing at the time of my visit. When I arrived on saturday evening they had given my table away without any prior notice or request. This is totally unacceptable for a so called fine dining restaurant. We left out of pocket-taxi fare to restaurant. The manager was an amateur who was absolutely useless with no acceptable reason for such shocking treatment!!! needless to say I will never use this place and have already told numerous friends of this farce!!

Best Thai Fish Cakes I've EVER had, the Sea Bass was amazing, the chocolate torte incredible - I can't recommend this place enough! Excellent value for the quality you receive. Service was very friendly as well. Live in the neighborhood & kept meaning to eat here - was worth the wait & we're already planning to go back. Be sure to make reservations - they have a small amount of tables & fill up quickly!

Well cooked, imaginative food but without too much fussiness. The best home baked bread in Edinburgh, and a good wine list. Desserts to die for! Friendly, efficent staff who always make you feel welcome. Definitely a favourite of ours, we go there a lot.
