This is a restaurant just off the Royal Mile which is not frighteningly pricey and which has a bustling, arty atmosphere about the place. They have a good reputation amongst fish lovers and also make delicious and filling crepes, both sweet and savoury. If you're looking for a bistro-style eatery serving generous portions, then this Scottish-French hybrid will suit you down to the ground. There's a separate room for non-smokers and if it's sunny you can sit on the pretty terrace outside.
we would just like to add our little bit to the reviews of le sept..we first visited by chance in early 2007..and enjoyed the experience so much we asked if we could hold our wedding lunch there after our civil service in Edinburgh Castle..The service we recieved was first class and nothing was ever a problem during the organisation process. The lunch went without a hitch and was just as we had wanted it to be..the food was top class and our 37 guests are still raving about it...we will continue to visit and hope Le Sept continues for many years to come!! A big thank you from chris and phil.

I had a starter portion of one of the main course crepes and to be honest this would have been enough! It was wonderfully full of fish and very tasty. Judging by everyone else's clear plates they liked it too.
I ordered seared tuna for my main course and my only small criticism was that it was a little over cooked, however, still very tasty.
Overall, a very nice middle of the road place that I will return too.
This is another successful branch of the welcoming French style chain, where the food is always well prepared and reasonably
priced. It is brimming with mirrors and Gallic art, and the atmosphere is casual yet bustling, set as it ...
It's on the shore and it's decor resembles a ship's interior, so you'll feel perfectly at home amongst the plethora
of seafood dishes on offer. There are lots of fresh fish as you would expect, but what's particularly pleasing ...
There is something reassuring about a seafood restaurant with the address "Number One The Shore", and you will not be
disappointed by Fisher Bistro's unpretentious enthusiasm about seafood. The decor is simple bare wooden tables are set with paper ...
