Imperial City, Belfast

I ordered takeaway from Imperial City a few months ago and it took them 1 and a half hour to delivery. I put this down to just perhaps how busy they might be on a weekend and was hesitant to order from them again. However, tonight my partner and I fancied some crisp shredded beef and our closer chinese didn't do it so I decided to give them another shot. We ordered and paid online, had confirmation of them picking up the order within 10 minutes. I expected a wait of at least 45 minutes but when we had heard nothing over an hour later I decided to check my emails again and was happy to see that they had sent my order. 30mins later no order. I phoned them and the lady said there was no such order as she hurried me off the phone. I argued with her for ten minutes before she put the manager on who then later found our order which hadn't been sent, nor even prepared. I got him to recite the order - no problems and I did get an apology. Two hours later we got our order.. sat down.. it wasn't shredded crisp beef at all, it was honey spicy beef - not what we ordered. I called them again and waited another hour for our correct order. All in all, we ordered at half 7 and finally sat down with our "correct" order (which by the way wasn't crisp beef anyway and wasn't in chilli sauce as we had ordered) at 10:40 pm. Total disguisted. No refund, no voucher, no real apologies. Will not be ordering from here again - be warned!

Four of us went here and ordered the buffet for 4. First of all it was served in the wrong order, the second course came first. The food came with no plates. We had to ask for plates and when they did come they were cold. Also some of the food had to be reheated as it was cold. Didn't like the food much either. Also it was expensive for what was served up.

I Actually Had Such A Great Night At This Restayrant, The Staff Were All Lovely, Around 15 Of Us Booked The Function Room, Karaoke And Everything! They Are So Quick! Food Only Took About 20 Minutes For EveryOnes! I Didnt Dislike ONe Thing, Actualy I Loved It,, Espoecially Lee And All The Staff, Got Photos With Them ! :D Was Greatt !! They Even Taught Me How To Say Hello And Goodbye IN Chinese! Andd Although We Were A Bit Drunk I Found This Night Really Enjoyable !

Firstly the place itself is a lovely little place,perfect ambiance for a romantic meal. As you walk in you wait to be brought to a table(you are hardly waiting at all)and once you are at table they quickly bring your menu and ask you would you like drinks(so please ignore bad reviews)They bring you complimentry prawn crackers and only wait about 10 minutes for starters.As soon as you are finished with that your main course comes.Service,fast and professional.Very attentive(if needed) Food quality is excellent and very good value.oveerall this place is great!

i have never written a review before but this place was just unbelievable. me and my boyfriend went and ordered two meals. when they came out it was not what we ordered so we asked te waiter and he just said it was! we didnt eat it and asked for the bill. my boyfriend refused to pay for the dishes but said we would pay for the drinks and side order. it ended up that six waitor/ess and the manager began shouting at us telling us to get out infront of everyone in the restaurant. when we tried to leave the manager pushed my boyfriend. we just paid for it so we could leave. i have never been treated like that in my life so please do not go!!

loved the food, great selection!! staff were lovely and gave recommendations to suit your individual taste if asked! interior decor leaves a lot to be desired with pink walls but that is me just looking to find a negative! i recommend it to all!

My family has grown to love this chinese so much that it is the place we go to celebrate all occassions,they are very accommodating when dining with young children who would rather not eat from the menu!the staff are very friendly and the food is delicious.I suggest getting several meals and sharing them out between your party as this way you can taste a little bit of everything.Top marks alround!

Firstly the waiter was so rude to us we felt like leaving before we even read the menu, I wish we had left! The food was not great, the waiter mixed up our order and blamed us for it, however the waitress was very nice. We had agreed by telephone to order from the specials menu, this did not go down very well by the waiter. It was a real shame as it was a special meal to celebrate my sister's graduation. Non of my family would return to this place, we would have been better going to a local carry out chinese.

Went here on Valentine Night, the restaurant was filled to capacity with mainly white patio tables which swayed back and forth, we were directed to a table by a waitress and after 20 mins the same waitress asked if we were ok and had we ordered, indeed we had not even seen the menu. In the meantime we witnessed another diner going to the bar and asking to see a menu and we can only imagine like us they to had been left unattended for quite some time. The menu for the evening was a set menu and when we asked if there was any other menu we could make our selection from we were told no, however other diners had 2 menus at their tables. The service was pathetic, too long in attending to their clients with menus, drinks etc, the restaurant packed out mainly with white plastic patio tables left a lot to be desired and the choice of menu was non-exsistent and we were left with no option but to leave the restaurant and seek our romantic meal elsewhere, luckily enough we were able to find another establishment close by where everything was excellent. Imperial City is certainly a place we won't be visiting again.

This is my local restaurant to dine in with my mum and dad also my relatives people should try this place there food is breathtaking and you get value for money so try it if your in Belfast for your holidays. thanks bye
