The Marerosa is one of the most popular eating houses in Bangor. Situated off the top of Main street along Abbey street, the restaurant is divided into two parts, a sit-in section and a neighbouring takeaway division. Both feature the same dishes - curry, chicken, speciality Cantonese and Peking meals, rice, noodles, and the like - and the restaurant, which has a real far Eastern feel, is fully licensed. Tables do not always need to be reserved but the restaurant can get very busy so it may be advisable to check. The takeaway service next door is fast and the food of an excellent standard. The decor of the restaurant includes a fascinating fish-tank, (should you choose to admire your dinner before eating it!)
