Sally Lunn's Tea Rooms, Bath

We loved the large Sally Lunn Bun with the cinnamon and clotted cream. Would definitely go for more next time we're in the neighborhood.

This was our second visit to Sally Lunn's the first for a wonderful Lunch this for Diner. With 3 children to please we always find it hard to find places that not only welcome them, but also has food that they like to eat. In this respect Sally Lunn's came into it's own. The children love the quaintness of the place,and were occupied all the things on the walls. The drinks came quickly and the food followed soon after, there was plenty and all very tastey. We only just had room for pud.

The food was good (if not excellent) and value of money. Food was healthy too, not too salty. I went there twice during my visit in Bath. I had a set lunch and set dinner. For 10 pounds, I had a vegetarian soup which was not very tasty but I guees it was healthy, hence less salty. I also had a main course which I really loved. I tried the apple pie dessert which taste of butter and not very sweet. Dessert was extra charge. The meal was really value for money. And healthy cooking. My brother had some pork belly and tea. He said the pork belly tasted good. He was glad I brought him to Sally Lun. We visited the museum downstairs as well. Nothing so great downstairs but should give it a visit. The restaurant ambience was cosy, low ceiling and everything. The ladies toilet was even cuter. Haha. Gold toilet roll holder. Oops. Sorry to mention about the toilet. Anyway, I would recommend a visit to Sally Lun. It is so Bathlike. In fact, I miss the food and ambience in Sally Lun.

We booked here for a candlelit dinner and although there were little tea-lights in clear, chunky glass holders it did not live up to the mental image of a 'candle-lit dinner'. Sadly, and more importantly, the food was unremarkable and rather tasteless. Needless to say we did not stay for dessert!

Sally Lunns – don’t get tied up in the hype – visit the kitchen but don’t bother with the food. Visited 5th April and it was very poor, toasted sandwiches with little filling – tasteless.

A trip to Baths Christmas market was enhanced by lunch at Sally Lunns Tea Rooms. Stepping into the historic front parlour was like visiting a bygone age of gentility. Pleasant ,friendly staff, were quick to take our orders and equally quick to serve us with some delicious food. A pot of Sally Lunns specially blended tea completed a very pleasant and relaxing interlude in our day. We plan to revisit soon and sample afternoon tea and once again enjoy the charming experience that Sally Lunns provides.

My wife and I were on a visit to UK in 1998 - we had read about Sally Lunn's before leaving Australia - When we arrived in Bath did the tourist bit then headed for Sally Lunn's tea rooms. Have recommended it to many other Aussies and still do when we find out they are going to Bath. To those reviews that are negative - get a life.

After a hard days shopping what better place than to put those heavy bags down and enjoy a short respite at the Sally Lunn Tea Rooms. Although you were very busy you quickly found room for 4 then another 2 then another 2 of our party-and even more quickly supplied us with piping hot tea and our order 1/2 a Sally Lunn bun with lovely lemon curd on mine -delicious! Service staff were quick, polite and helpful especially when we were to busy talking to make up our minds. Great value for money and a great experience We cant wait to call again. Having now visited Sally Lunn's several times I wanted to write this to encourage others to go and sample the famous Sally Lunn's bun! Served in a variety of ways, with my personal favourite being the Sally Lunn cream tea. There are always plenty of attentive staff with service always being very prompt. The museum kitchen is excellent to see how things used to be! Enjoy!!

I am from Taiwan and currently study in Bristol. I always want to go to Sally Lunn's and some of my friends always say that i will regret if i dont go. After I went there and tried the afternoon meal the only thing I want to say is, u should go there at least once in ur life not only for the food but also for good service and ambiance.
