Kirk Ambar, Besiktas

This shop is hidden away on a back street of Beşıktas, which you'd never know existed if you weren't on a mission of dışcovery. The front window is filled with pots of honey and beeswax and a vast range of earthenware pottery guards the exterior wall. It is filled to the rafters with organic dried fruits, herbs and spices, soybean products, natural remedies and health foods. The store is run by a couple, Bahri and Alime Kilic, with a passion for healthy living. They don't speak much English but you can explore the shelves for what you need and do the rest with body language!
