Necati Restaurant, Istanbul

Çengelköy is a tiny fishing village on the Asian side of the Bosphorus, mostly famous for its cucumbers. On a tiny square near the docks, there are a few lovely fish restaurants offering very similar menus. Facing the sea, to the right of the square is the wonderful Necati Restaurant. The simple menu offers succulent fish and seafood dishes, salads and desserts. Outside, there is a covered terrace overlooking the strait - the tables near the water have superb views of the coastal yalis (royal summer residences).
