Marina Balik Restaurant, Istanbul

I arranged a 60 people table in marina balik. I was there for lunch 2 weeks earlier, having the menu my guests should take. We agreed having starters cold and hot, salad, 400 grs of fresh fish (not lavrak) for each guest, ekmek kadaif with icecream, fruits and limited alcool. During the lunch they served us lavrak that we did not eat. They changed it to 150 grms of fish that was not what we agreed. Ekmek kadaif with icecream was not in our menu. Wine was not on the tables. They did not respected the agreement we have done. My guests traveled from all over Europe to eat sardines in Bosporus! After the lunch I met the manager. He told me that there has been a missunderstanding. I paid a little less than we had agreed. I paid just because I didn't want to spoil my day. They did not give me a receipt! DO NOT GO THERE!!!

sent by the concierge at the swisshotel - fantastic view, great service, wonderful fresh salad, good grilled fish - however perhaps because I was alone or sent from hotel bill was very high over 100 turkish lira for 1 salad some fish and 2 beers!!!!! I hope the rest of Istanbul fish restaurants are not so ridiculously expensive!

We definetly go there, because I am sure if I go there with my friends who ever came from abroad, we will never be shame on. Service always on time, food always fresh, ambiance is very well for talking or romatizm, price is reasonable, I recomended all time, PS. Try aubergine salad always same taste.

Formal dining room inside an old wooden pier built out over the water. Great view of the Bosphorus. Romantic atmosphere - candles light the room. Pick out your own very fresh fish. Friendly service perfectly done. One of the best meals again and again in Istanbul.
