These two museums are both housed in the same grounds, the Domaine de Penthes. The luxuriously decorated and furnished château shows the history of Swiss relations with other countries through a collection of paintings, publications, and objects. An audiovisual introduction to the museum entitled 'Blood and gold of the Renaissance' can be seen. The General Dufour pavilion houses a collection of uniforms, documents and weapons illustrating the history of the army. The 'Au Cent Suisses' restaurant is open to museum visitors.
