Chez ma Cousine - on y mange du poulet, Geneva

Our first visit to Geneva to attend a meeting. Took my 7 year old there last night, because he was hungry while touring "Old Town". It was packed, but we were immediately seated at a table for four. Only one wait person, but food delivered promptly & politely. We shared the 1/2 Poillet & Frites & House Salad- which we loved; Wife had Thai Chicken Salad - which was okay. Priced ~ 50% less than other restaurants in Geneva Area. If you like broiled chicken, and are not on an expense account we would highly recommend this restaurant.

ALTHOUGH IT IS UNEXPENSIVE, THE SERVICE IS VERY ROUGH AND UNFRIENDLY... WHEN ASKING FOR WATER THEY WOULDN BRING GLASSES, THEY TOOK AWAY OUR SALAD AND WE DIDNT ASK THEM TO... WHEN ASKING FOR THE BILL THEY TOOK AGES...I WOULD RATHER RECOMMEND CAFE DU SOLEIL.

I lived in geneva for awhile and every day that I did not want to cook I went here. The food was great and cheap. When my friends came to vist they brought there kids and the kids loved it. They loved the food and the watiers adored them.

This restauarnt basically serves one main dish......roasted chicken and does it very well. It is paired with thick potato slices and a good but not outstanding salad. The inside is very basic and fills up quickly, so be prepared to wait during busy times. The service is good, but a bit slow during peak times. I think this is more due to staffing than from lack of effort as service is better when things are less busy. Overall, a good place to get an inexpensive (for Geneva) meal that is filling and tasty. PS there is a small terrace but it only has about 4-6 tables.

When I first went to Chez ma Cousine, It had been two weeks into my stay at Geneva and I was really hurting for good cheap food. and Chez ma cousine was a gift from the gods! Although the other two plates are delicious, The real star was the roasted chicken and baked potato wedges. The food was flavorful, cheap, and WORTH MORE THAN IT COSTS! for only thirteen francs, I was amazed. The food, service, and overall experience is very much worth your time and money.

We travel to Geneva about every 9-10 months, and we always go back to the Chez ma Cousine (or, as we refer to it, the chicken place). The food is always fresh and delivered quickly, and the value is exceptional. We like the Chez ma Cousine as an alternative to the heavier meals that tend to dominate the restaurants of Geneva (fondue, Cafe de Paris, Boueff Rouge, etc.). They have only three dishes, two of which are salads, but they are all wonderful. I highly recommend Chez ma Cousine for a good meal at a great price.
