The grand synagogue of Stockholm was built in an Asian style, and seats about a thousand guests. In 1870, the eternal flame, Ner Tamid, was lit to inaugurate the synagogue. The services are held in both Swedish and Hebrew. There is a mixed choir and an organ music performance, during these services.
