Mercado de la Cebada
Description
You'll find a fine display of fresh fruit and vegetables, fish and quality meats and lots more in this authentic Spanish market, whose origins date back to 1877. It's located in one of the city's best-known squares that has recently become a popular nightlife zone. Traders first gathered here in the open air during the 19th Century, but the current two-story building wasn't put up until 1962. Its design won the National Architecture Prize for that year. There's free customer parking if you show a shopping receipt and four cafes to relax in.
